Meet Gilad Zukin: General Manager of Solomon & Sons Relocation

At Solomon & Sons Relocation, our growth has always been driven by our people, our commitment to our customers, and our belief that every successful move begins with a strong team behind it.
As the company continues to grow throughout South Florida, across the United States, and internationally, I’m proud to introduce myself as the General Manager of Solomon & Sons Relocation Services.
My name is Gilad Zukin, and after more than 20 years in the moving and relocation industry, I’m excited to bring my experience, leadership philosophy, and passion for developing great teams to Solomon & Sons.
More Than 20 Years in the Moving Industry
I have spent more than two decades working with some of New York’s leading moving companies, holding senior management and executive positions across nearly every major area of the business.
Throughout my career, I have been responsible for operations including:
Dispatch and logistics
Local and long-distance moving
Warehousing and storage
Fleet management
Safety and compliance
Claims management
Customer service
Employee training and development
That experience has given me an important perspective: a successful move is never the responsibility of just one department.
From the first phone call with a customer to the moment the final piece of furniture is placed in their new home, every department has to communicate, execute, and work together.
That is one of my primary areas of focus at Solomon & Sons.
Where My Leadership Philosophy Started
Long before I entered the moving industry, I began my career as a fighter jet technician in the Air Force.
Working around aircraft taught me lessons that have stayed with me throughout my professional career: precision matters, preparation matters, communication matters, and every person on the team has an important responsibility.
In that environment, there is no room for departments to operate independently of one another. Everyone has to understand the mission and work toward the same objective.
I believe a professional moving company should operate with a similar mindset.
Moving and relocation involves a tremendous number of details. Sales, customer service, dispatch, warehouse personnel, drivers, movers, accounting, claims, and management all touch different parts of the customer's experience.
When those teams communicate effectively, customers feel the difference.
My Role at Solomon & Sons
As General Manager, I oversee our Sales, Customer Service, and Office Administration teams while working closely with leadership and operations throughout the company.
One of my main objectives is strengthening the systems and communication that connect our departments.
Solomon & Sons has built an impressive reputation since Roee and Moriel founded the company in 2014. My responsibility is not to change the principles that created that success. It is to help strengthen them as the company continues to grow.
That means creating better processes, establishing greater accountability, giving employees the tools they need to succeed, and making sure the customer remains at the center of every decision.
Developing People Is One of My Greatest Priorities
I strongly believe that you cannot build a great company without developing great people.
One of the parts of leadership I enjoy most is identifying potential within a team member and helping that person grow into a larger role.
Training should go beyond teaching someone how to perform today's job. Good leadership should help employees understand the entire operation, develop judgment, take ownership of their responsibilities, and prepare themselves for future opportunities.
As Solomon & Sons grows, I want our team members to grow with it.
When employees understand how their work affects the customer and how their department connects with the rest of the organization, they become more confident, more accountable, and better equipped to deliver exceptional service.
What Customers Should Expect From Us
Moving is personal.
Whether someone is moving across South Florida, relocating across the country, moving internationally, placing belongings into storage, or trusting us with a complex commercial relocation, they are putting an important part of their lives in our hands.
That responsibility should never be taken lightly.
My goal is straightforward:
Every Solomon & Sons customer should experience an honest, organized, professional, and as stress-free as possible relocation from the first conversation through final delivery.
That requires clear expectations.
It requires communication.
It requires experienced people.
And it requires accountability when something does not go according to plan.
Customers should never feel as though they are being passed from one department to another. Internally, we may have many different teams working on a move, but to the customer, we are one company and one team.
That is the standard I want us to continue building around.
Building on the Solomon & Sons Standard
What attracted me to Solomon & Sons was the opportunity to join a company that already had a strong foundation and was still committed to becoming better.
The company has grown considerably since 2014, but it has maintained the entrepreneurial mentality and personal accountability of a family-owned business.
My job is to help us maintain those qualities while continuing to develop the processes, training, technology, and management structure necessary for the next stage of growth.
That means asking ourselves constantly:
How can we communicate better?
How can we make the customer's experience easier?
How can we help our employees perform at a higher level?
How can we prevent problems rather than simply responding to them?
Those are questions I will continue asking every day.
Looking Ahead
I am excited about what is ahead for Solomon & Sons Relocation.
We have experienced professionals throughout the organization, a leadership team that is committed to the business, and employees who genuinely care about doing their jobs well.
My focus now is bringing all of those pieces together even more effectively.
For our customers, that should translate into better communication, stronger coordination, greater consistency, and a moving experience they feel confident recommending to someone else.
For our employees, it means building an organization where expectations are clear, strong performance is recognized, and there are opportunities to learn, develop, and advance.
And for Solomon & Sons, it means continuing to build on the reputation that has been established over more than a decade while preparing the company for many more years of growth.
I look forward to meeting our customers, working alongside our team, and helping write the next chapter of Solomon & Sons Relocation.
