Solomon & Sons Relocation Services is hiring experienced, hardworking individuals for our South Florida moving team. This is a full-time skilled-labor position for individuals who are physically capable, dependable, work well as part of a crew, and have hands-on experience handling furniture, assembling and disassembling furniture, protecting household goods, loading trucks, or working in a similar skilled-labor environment.

Responsibilities

• As a Local Moving Helper with Solomon & Sons Relocation Services, you will work as part of a professional moving crew to safely pack, protect, load, transport, and unload our customers' household goods and furniture. Responsibilities include properly wrapping furniture with moving pads, packing household and fragile items, loading and securing items inside moving trucks, and assisting with the disassembly and reassembly of common household furniture.
• This is a hands-on, physically active position that requires attention to detail and respect for our customers' belongings and property. Team members are also responsible for maintaining clean trucks, tools, and equipment, following company safety procedures, supporting the crew leader, and providing customers with a professional and positive moving experience.

Education Requirements

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education is preferred but not required. We place greater emphasis on an applicant's work ethic, reliability, communication skills, ability to follow instructions, willingness to learn, and ability to safely perform the physical responsibilities of the position.

Experience Requirements

• Previous professional moving experience is a plus, but it is not required. We welcome applicants with experience in moving, furniture delivery, warehouse operations, construction, installation, assembly, landscaping, general skilled labor, or other physically demanding work environments.
• We are also willing to train hardworking individuals who demonstrate the right attitude, reliability, physical ability, and desire to learn. Solomon & Sons provides hands-on field training to help employees learn proper furniture protection, packing, loading, equipment handling, customer-service standards, and professional moving techniques. Your willingness to learn and perform at a high level is just as important to us as previous experience.

Desired Skills

• Successful Local Moving Helpers are physically capable, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment. Candidates should have the ability to safely lift and maneuver items weighing up to 75 pounds, work on their feet for extended periods, follow instructions from crew leaders, and communicate effectively with coworkers and customers. Basic experience with furniture handling, hand tools, dollies, moving equipment, packing, or furniture assembly and reassembly is highly valued.
• Just as important as physical ability is attitude.
