Experienced Local Moving Foreman & Driver

LOCAL MOVING FOREMAN & DRIVER$25–$30/Hour + Overtime + Tips + Performance IncentivesFull-Time | 40+ Hours | Dania Beach, FL

Responsibilities

• Leading and supervising the assigned moving crew
• Conducting the pre-job customer walkthrough
• Communicating the scope of work with the customer
• Assigning responsibilities to helpers
• Proper furniture protection, packing and handling
• Supervising loading and unloading
• Ensuring proper truck loading and shipment protection
• Furniture disassembly and reassembly
• Monitoring job-site safety
• Preventing damage to homes and household goods
• Operating company box trucks safely
• Completing Bills of Lading, inventories and required paperwork accurately
• Maintaining communication with Dispatch/Operations
• Managing job-site quality control
• Addressing customer questions professionally
• Inspecting equipment/truck condition
• Ensuring the crew leaves the residence and truck clean
• Reporting damages, discrepancies or operational issues immediately

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Experience Requirements

• Previous professional moving, furniture delivery, furniture installation, logistics, or comparable hands-on experience is strongly preferred. Previous experience leading a moving crew is highly desirable. Candidates should be comfortable handling furniture, loading trucks, assembling and disassembling furniture, working with moving equipment, communicating directly with customers, and completing job-related paperwork.
• Candidates with strong leadership experience from another skilled-labor environment may also be considered if they demonstrate the ability to learn Solomon & Sons' moving procedures and quality standards.
